Hurry up and give it to us, Baka Shinji!

Looking across the streaming landscape for June, I feel bad for Hollywood.  The summer slump has been a real trend lately, and Netflix is sure not helping by releasing a ton of “must see” material in June.  The line-up is strong across the board, starting with popular films such as The Dark Knight, A.I., Carrie, and Gran Torino landing early, and recent hits like Ralph Breaks the Internet and Into the Spider-Verse due later on.  For us here at Deluxe Video Online, we’re particularly pleased the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise hitting Netflix at the end of the month.

All of that, and we haven’t even mentioned Netflix’s originals!  We’ve rounded up the trailers for the most intriguing offerings in June below.  Despite an Adam Sandler comedy in the mix, everything is looking pretty binge-worthy.

I guess that contract still hasn’t run out, eh?

New and Notable.

    • Arthdal Chronicles: A sci-fi/fantasy with swords and sorcery from Korea.  Looking to pick up the Game of Thrones crowd much Netflix?

    • Black Mirror Season 5:  more of the Black Mirror mind-fuck you love, with a rock solid cast of A-listers.

    • I Am Mother:  a dystopian science fiction flick where A.I.’s raise the surviving generation of humanity.  Likewise packed to the rafters with talent.

    • 7 Seeds:  another dystopian science fiction story, this time from the animation department, about 7 groups of pod-grown children trying to repopulate a ravaged Earth.

    • The Black Godfather:  a fascinating biographical documentary about Clarence Avant, a legendary figure in the music industry.

Netflix:  June 2019.
