What's New on Netflix: June 2020.

Netflix unleashes on of its most balanced and varied months in recent memory.

There’s not a lot of good news recently. Netflix hopes to at least provide some distraction with a very well-curated June rotation in 2020. From classics like All Dogs Go to Heaven and ET, to recent hits like Lady Bird, Netflix finally adds a compelling selection of second party films.

An adorable scene of three dogs trying to machine gun another dog and a child. Classic kids fare.

Netflix also brings some noise with their June originals. We’ve got Will Ferrell as a singing viking, Spike Lee’s new joint, and a wide assortment of series and international films. Looks like another good set of reasons to stay inside all month.

New and Notable.

  • Curon (Jun. 10): This Spanish-language thriller sees a woman and her two twin children return to Curon, a town with a tragic past and haunted present.
  • Da 5 Bloods (Jun. 12): Spike Lee drops another new film, this time straight to Netflix, starring Black Panther! The story centers around four African American veterans returning to Vietnam to search for their fallen squad leader (Chadwick Boseman)…and a cache of valuables.
  • Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (Jun. 26): Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams star in a Scandinavian epic, which features the requisite epic songs. Yeah, it’s gonna be weird.
